Tony Gelderman

Principal

Tony Gelderman heads the Louisiana office of the New York-based law firm of Bernstein, Litowitz, Berger & Grossmann LLP, a nationally recognized securities litigation firm. Tony’s legal practices include providing advice on asset recovery, shareholder rights and corporate governance issues.

Tony also co-owns KCT Real Estate Ventures (KCT), a closely held real estate firm engaged in the acquisition, renovation and management of company-owned historic properties, primarily in New Orleans. KCT frequently utilizes historic tax credits as well as historic easements as part of a successful financing technique for its historic restoration projects.   

Tony founded Strata with the intent to provide his family and business interests with integrated financial support services, including the coordination of the work of outside CPAs, financial advisors and managers, as well as outside attorneys. Today Strata serves similar financial support services for a variety of individuals and small businesses.

Tony’s early professional life has included serving as Chief of Staff and General Counsel in the Louisiana Department of Treasury. Tony also helped to launch the Louisiana Asset Management Pool, an investment pool that serves local government offices across Louisiana. Tony led LAMP as its Secretary/Treasurer for a number of years.

Tony has been a resident of New Orleans since childhood. He and his wife, Katherine, are the parents of a grown daughter, Carroll, who today works in the film industry. Tony is a former President of the Garden District Association, was the founding President of the Garden District Security District, and has served on numerous community boards through the years, including the Preservation Resource Center, the Louise S. McGehee School and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. He is the current Co-chair of the National Trust for Historic Preservation Council, and is a member of the Boards of the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Louisiana Architecture Foundation and the St. Charles Avenue Association.
